About This Event
WILDERNESS
Presented by Temple High School Theatre Arts
Wilderness is a moving documentary theatre piece about the true stories of six teenagers who deal with various mental illnesses and addictions. Their parents are at a loss to help them, and send them to a wilderness therapy camp. The teens have to learn to cope with their self-destructive tendencies through learning basic survival skills. The teens relate their stories as they hike, set up camp, attend therapy sessions and argue with their counselors. Anguished grown-ups and troubled children all search for answers to complicated problems. (Adult language.)
